Attention: Mr. Rick Richter
Re: Fort Collins Pavement/Bridge Management
Procedural Training Proposal
Dear Mr. Richter:
As discussed, we received a request some time ago from Jin Wang that asked for
some assistance regarding the following activities as they relate to the bridge data
we have introduced to dTIMS CT.
1) Delete a bridge.
2) Add a bridge.
3) Move a bridge location.
4) Create different Categories of Bridges.
5) Add new inspection report.
6) Archiving data.
Jin was hoping to get instructions on these activities and I agree that this would be a
great resource for refreshing your memory and for new employees. What I would
suggest, however, is to combine the documentation with a short training trip (2 to 3
days) that we might be able to combine with a trip to Denver later this summer.
This would give Jin an opportunity to get hands on training with one of our
employees. Following the session, a summary of the procedures discussed and
attempted during the visit will be assembled.
My best estimate at a time frame for this is 3 days on site and 3 days to compile the
guide. If we can share a flight with another Colorado client the cost of this would
be no more than $8,000.00.
We look forward to any comments followed by your direction to proceed with this
work.
Sincerely,
Deighton Associates Ltd.
