We have completed many public art commissions, and are very familiar with making work that functions aesthetically as well as functionally. We are familiar with safety issues and guidelines, and we have worked closely with building and landscape architects and engineers on a number of projects.. We recently completed the Creative Kids Museum in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This 10,000-sq. ft. museum is geared to creative exploration of the arts. We also recently completed a permanent installation for the Nebraska Educational Television Building in Lincoln. The theme of the piece is the evolution of the communication process and the technology that is used to move information around the world. The installation is over 150' Iona, beginning with the lobby `TV Clouds', and ending with a 12' high by 13' wide digital 'waterfall', a relief collage of electronic parts and paraphernalia, lights and TVs. We have also recently completed an installation at Florida Atlantic University that combines sculptural seating units, bollards to block traffic, and kinetic elements. The nine sculptures, based on underwater imagery, are unusual, and they bring a presence to a rather ordinary physical plant. Eight of the elements also function as seating units and gathering places. If accepted as finalists for this project we would begin with research on site and progress from there. Our design process is very thorough, from preliminary sketches to finished drawings and models. We also present complete budgets, as well as in process fabrication photos. We enjoy working as part of a team, and always keep our clients informed during all stages of development. Our projects are always on time and on budget.
