Lemay Ave. Fort Collins, CO 80525 To Whom It May Concern: People don't often say nice things about their bosses. But not everyone has worked for Connie DuBois. I worked for Connie during the summers of 2001 through 2004 at Mariana Butte Golf Course in Loveland. I was one of the snack cart attendants who also worked in the restaurant area of the club house. Connie, who was the manager, created a professional work environment that made all of her employees look forward to coming to work. We knew what she expected of us — how to properly cook and handle food, how and where to clean and how to treat customers with respect. With her caring personality and upbeat attitude, her employees naturally trusted her and wanted to work hard to please her. She expected us to be on time and never compromise the cleanliness or professionalism of her restaurant. Connie was also never above working with her employees. When customers crowded the snack bar, she would jump right in and cook hamburgers, clean tables, ring up orders and make sure customers were happy — another reason we all respected her so much. I have since graduated from college and am working in a different industry. But the values Connie taught me — honesty, hard work and organization — are important traits I continue to use in both my professional and personal life. I also realized managers with Connie's talents and work ethic are hard to find, making me very thankful to have worked for her. Connie would be a wonderful addition to SouthRidge Golf Club. Connie has worked in my law office for many years as a substitute receptionist/secretary. I have always found her to be an extremely conscientious, dependable and capable worker. She also has a very engaging personality and we always look forward to having Connie in the office on the days she is substituting for our regular receptionist. I play golf at Mariana Butte occasionally and often saw Connie working at the concession/food service. I have many friends who play at Mariana on a regular basis. I can say from my own personal experience as well as from comments I have heard from many of my friends that she is one of the people that made playing at Mariana Butte especially fun. You could always count on Connie's charming smile and warm welcome to raise your spirits after a challenging day on the golf course. I can, without reservation, recommend Connie for manager of food services at South Ridge. I cannot imagine a more qualified person for this position. She is a very good friend and is a person of utmost integrity. Connie is someone we have trusted our children's care to without hesitation. Our families have grown up together and have shared our lives together. Connie is a very close friend of my wife and is very highly regarded by all my children. From a personal perspective I would highly recommend Connie for any type of employment. I also know Connie as an employee. Connie has worked for me off and on over the years as different opportunities have presented themselves for me to use her talents. As a residential contractor several years ago, I employed Connie to decorate our show homes. All I gave her was a check and the mandate to make them look great on a limited budget. She did an outstanding job for us. More recently we have purchased a gift basket business and employed Connie as our chief designer. Connie is an outstanding employee. She is prompt; she requires no supervision and accomplishes each task in a very timely and professional manner. Connie works with our customers and is very easy and pleasant to work with. Coming from a family business herself, Connie is very business savvy and understands what it takes to make a business profitable, while keeping the customer satisfied. I have known and worked with Connie for 20+ years in several capacities. For 13 years Connie operated and managed the concessions at Mariana Butte Golf Course in Loveland. Asa member and past officer of the Mariana Butte Ladies Golf Association I can assure you that her food preparation, presentation and quality were excellent. She provided our golf league with wonderful lunches in addition to catering many tournaments and events at Mariana Butte. She has managed several employees plus two beverage carts with efficiency and professionalism. The employees respected Connie and accepted her work ethic and management style, which created a pleasant atmosphere in the snack bar. As an excellent golfer, Connie has a true understanding of the game and the time constraints golfers are under. She can converse with customers intelligently and is aware of their needs. Her "people" skills are terrific and her natural pleasant manner is a definite asset. As the past Executive Director of the Loveland Chamber of Commerce I am familiar with many types of businesses. The food industry is one of the most difficult to maintain a profitable bottom line annually. Connie's 13 years of food service is a testimony to her management capability.
