Dear Mr. Welch:
The City of Fort Collins wishes to extend the agreement term for the above captioned proposal per
the existing terms and conditions with the following revisions:
• Connell Resources 2006-2007 Materials pricing
• Connell Resources Labor and Equipment Rates Effective February 1, 2006
• Revision of Section 601 Structural Concrete
The term will be extended for one (1) additional year, July 1, 2006 through July 2, 2007,
If the renewal is acceptable to your firm, please sign this letter in the space provided and return it to
the City of Fort Collins, Purchasing Division, P. O. Box 580, Fort Collins, CO 85022, within the next
fifteen days.
If this extension is not agreeable with your firm, we ask that you send us a written notice stating that
you do not wish to renew the contract and state the reason for non -renewal.

REVISION OF SECTION 601
STRUCTURAL CONCRETE
Section 601 of the Standard Specifications is hereby revised as follows:
Subsection 601.01 is revised to include the following:
This work shall consist of the construction of box culvert extensions, wing walls, parapet walls, and
necessary conduits in accordance with the plans, specifications, and the Larimer County Urban Area Street
Standards (Refer to detail drawing 11-0117). It shall be the City's responsibility to provide building plans
and specifications. The Contractor is responsible for providing all materials and equipment necessary to
meet the requirements of the Colorado Department of Transportation Standards and Larimer County Urban
Area Street Standards.
Mix Design :
1. Compressive Strength: 4000 psi at 28 days
a. Minimum number of cylinders passing above requirement shall be 90%.
b. Minimum strength of cylinder acceptable, 3800 psi.
2. Cement Content: 6 bags per cubic yard minimum
3. Maximum Permissible Water — Cement Ratio
a. For 4000 psi strength, non air -entrained, absolute ratio by weight 0.49.
b. For 4000 psi strength, air -entrained, absolute ratio by weight 0.45.
4. Slump: Four inch maximum.
5. Air Content: 6%+/- 1 Y:% for concrete with exposed surfaces or subject to freezing and
thawing; not required for other concrete.
The accepted quantities will be paid for at the contract unit price.

The above prices and payments shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools,
equipment, and incidentals and for doing all Work involved in a cast in place project, as shown on the
plans, as specified in these specifications, and as directed by the Engineer.
