Section 03 35 00 – Part 2.2B: Would you consider Quadex Hyperform as an approved equal trawlable cementitious repair mortar for this project? A: Evaluation of approved equal alternatives to specified materials will not be conducted at this time. This product can be submitted for review by the Engineer and City after contract execution for potential acceptance and use on the project. 2. Can you provide pictures of the current anode wells? A: Yes. Below are pictures from the construction of the existing wells in 2013 and current pictures of the wells. East Well Completion – Construction 2013 West Well Completion – Construction 2013 West Well from Surface – Construction 2013 West Well Interior - current Addendum # 1 10228 Page 3 of 4 West Well Pad with Junction Box - current 3. What are the current anodes made of? A: The existing anodes in both east and west deep wells are high silicone cast iron type anodes. These anodes will be abandoned as part of the Work. 4. What is the current output of the rectifiers? A: The east rectifier’s output on September 24, 2025: 23.17 volts and 12.10 amps. The west rectifier’s output on September 24, 2025: 17.25 volts and 10.50 amps. 5. Will Fort Collins receive & store the palletized materials? Section 01 65 00 part 1 says we're to receive them ourselves but that will require extra mobilizations to the site. For similar jobs such as our current deep-well installation at Lincoln Electric in Nebraska, they have received and stored the pallets and sent us photos so we can confirm items are showing up and we can confirm remotely that they are correct. I believe everything could be offloaded at the laydown/staging area and kept outside. A: The materials can be delivered to the staging area within the Fort Collins WTF. Deliveries will need to be coordinated with the WTF point of contact and Fort Collins Project Manager. The selected Contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the materials delivered are correct, free of damage, and stored properly while on City property. 6. On the drawings, pg 9. They show the entire work areas being surrounded by sediment control logs or straw wattles, but the notes only indicate we're to place the coir matting around the east well. I assume the SCLs are already in place? I wouldn't expect much run off as the driller generally digs a small pit for the cuttings. (we'll be putting drill spoils into roll offs with plastic barriers) I would think placing SCL around his dirt pile to make that pit would make sense. Addendum # 1 10228 Page 4 of 4 A: Modifications to the designed erosion control plan are at the discretion of the Contractor as it will be the Contractor’s responsibility to manage erosion and runoff to meet applicable permits. Modifications to the erosion control plan shall be reviewed and accepted by the City’s erosion control staff prior to implementation.
