A: If a new blower or other equipment requiring a VFD is ultimately included in the project scope, it will most likely be part of a vendor supplied package phosphorus removal system 2. Under Task 2 it lists “Geotechnical Report” as an appendix for sections to reference and has supplemental geotechnical listed in Task 3. A: Yes, the Geotechnical Report has been completed. Design of this project will be executed in multiple phases as Work Orders under a Work Order style Agreement between the City and the awarded Consultant. The first Work Order will be for 30 percent design with a Process Design Report (PDR) Amendment for inclusion with a Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Application as described in the scope of proposal. Future Work Orders may include final design drawings and specifications and/or construction administration services 10223 Engineering Services – Phase 2 – Sidestream Phosphorus Removal at DWRF Existing DWRF Sidestream Phosphorus Removal Process Location 4 SIDESTREAM PHOSPHORUS REMOVAL PROCESS AREA ADMIN BUILDING •Initial project completed in 2021 to meet Reg 85 limits of 1.0 mg/L Total Phosphorus •Sequester soluble phosphorus from the solids stream to reduce phosphorus loads recycled to liquid stream 10223 Engineering Services – Phase 2 – Sidestream Phosphorus Removal at DWRF Existing DWRF Sidestream Phosphorus Removal Process 5 •One MagPrex reactor and dedicated Process Building •Sufficient space and provisions for a second reactor •Existing MagPrex reactor 1 improvements to be included in design 10223 Engineering Services – Phase 2 – Sidestream Phosphorus Removal at DWRF Project Goals 1.Phosphorus Removal Redundancy to consistently meet regulatory requirements and discharge permit limits while performing regular maintenance and repair work on the existing MagPrex reactor Currently limited to a maximum 4 days of MagPrex reactor down time 2.Reactor 1 improvements 3.Submit SRF Loan Application by June 5, 2026 6 10223 Engineering Services – Phase 2 – Sidestream Phosphorus Removal at DWRF Federal Funding Solicitation Requirements This project may be partially funded by Federal grant and/or loan dollars. 2 CFR 200 Terms and Conditions apply to the Agreement with the awarded Professional. These Terms and Conditions are attached to this RFP for reference in the sample agreement (Section VI). This solicitation will be conducted in accordance with the Brooks Act, where cost or schedule of rates will not be considered until after the top qualified Professional has been identified by the City. DO NOT SUBMIT A FEE OR SCHEDULE OF RATES WITH YOUR PROPOSAL.
