Questions and Answers
1. Can you please provide the last bid tab on file for Magnesium Chloride
See below, bid results from previous bid for Magnesium Chloride:
GMCO $0.7790/gal
Envirotech Services $0.81/gal
Brenntag Pacific $1.30/gal
2. Regarding exhibit A of the bid document, specifically certification of each load upon
delivery by a NELAC certified laboratory. Certification from a 3rd party lab will add
considerable cost to our already robust Quality Control process which we would pass
on to the city. This cost could add as much as 50% increase to our cost to service this
bid. In an effort to keep costs down for the City of Fort Collins is there a possibility to
relax this requirement? We service many customers in industrial and water treatment
industries and do not have any that require NELAC laboratory certification.
The City relies on this chemical for phosphorus removal to meet our regulatory
requirements, so we must know it meets the parameters included in the specs, thus we
cannot relax this requirement.
