Will the City consider other OEMs hardware (aside from Nokia and/or Calix) for the submittal? The City will consider other OEMs hardware (aside from Nokia and/or Calix). The RFP requires that any hardware seamlessly integrate with Nokia and Calix. 2. Pg 4, section II - A What level of integration with the AMS is required? Does this mean the FTTP equipment should be able to be monitored by this system? If so, could Fort Collins please share details on what type of monitoring the system is capable of (i.e. SNMP, Netconf, etc.), or should we simply indicate the methods we support? Connexion AMS primarily utilizes SNMP. Please also indicate other methods supported by the proposed solution. 3. Pg 4, section II - A What BNG functions are in use by the 7750 which should be supported by a non-Nokia OLT (i.e. option 82, logging for LI, etc.) • Enhanced subscriber management • Option 82 • Logging for LI • QnQ Vlan tagging • DHCP 6 with prefix delegation • SRRP 4. Pg 5, section II - A For the core network equipment list, should we provide systems that support routing, or only the OLT? If we should include L3, what protocols/features are required? Ideally Connexion is not looking for L3 solutions unless the proposed design requires Addendum #1 RFP 10022 CONNEXION NETWORK HARDWARE AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Page 3 of 3 6. General Is the City of Fort Collins seeking a new OLT solution that supports Nokia ONTs? Is there an expectation for a new non-Nokia ONT to work with Nokia OLTs? Connexion is seeking solutions for current and future projects. Proposed solutions will need to integrate with our current solutions. 7. Page1 of this RFP indicates this proposal must not include pricing due to federal funds. Exhibit D indicates pricing to be fixed and any applicable price adjustments be negotiated at the time of renewal. Can additional clarity on the requirements of Exhibit D be provided? Exhibit D appears to be asking for pricing and additional discounts which conflicts with Page #1. As stated in the RFP Offeror(s) will be disqualified if fees are included in the response to the RFP. Section VIII of the RFP includes a sample Master Professional Services Agreement Work Order Type which includes Exhibit D for compensation. After the City has selected the most qualified firm(s) based on the assessment of the proposals, the City will negotiate the costs/fees with the top-ranked firm(s). The negotiated pricing will be incorporated into the awarded contract in Exhibit D. 8. Can you share the grant funding program (Name only) you are referencing in this RFP? The grants include the Capital Project Fund, Broadband Office and Broadband Equity Access Deployment (BEAD). However, the City will continue to seek other grant opportunities.
