Page 5, Section d.i: Would the City consider a change from perforated metal to perforated aluminum, particularly given the demands of the Front Range climate? Perforated aluminum is acceptable. 2. Page 5, Section d.v: Same as above — would perforated aluminum be acceptable? Perforated aluminum is acceptable. 3. Page 6, Section 1.g: The specification states that the design must allow for a 48” clear path. What is the City’s minimum pad size that will accommodate the shelter while maintaining this clearance? There are four alternative designs for bus stops with shelters. The alternative chosen depends on the sidewalk design, public right-of-way and existing structures. Figures 12–19 and images 14–17 in the Bus Stop Design Standards and Guidelines show examples of Shelter Stop configurations. The examples use an 18’ shelter (large size). A Small or Standard size shelter may be utilized based on the size of the pad and allowing the 48” clearance. For example, a 20’ pad likely won’t accommodate a Large size shelter but the Standard or Small may fit depending on layout. 4. Page 6, Lighting: Is there a specific foot-candle requirement for the roof lighting? No. 5. Page 6, Section 3.a.ii: If the kiosk has a flat design, there may be insufficient space to house the batteries. Would the City allow the batteries to be stored within a roof -mounted fixture that also includes the solar panels and ECM? Yes. 6. Page 7, Section 3.iii: Could you clarify the retrofit requirement of six hours of illumination for the roof or ad kiosk? Why is this requirement different from what is specified in Section 3.a.i.? The requirements are different because we have found there to be a difference in specs between the retrofit kit and the one that comes with the shelter. We prefer dusk to dawn illumination- please provide expected hours of illumination. We’ve experienced and expect seasonality differences with solar lighting. 7. Is steel an acceptable alternative to aluminum for modular shelters? Yes. 8. The written specs call for an arch-top shelter while exhibit A shows a shed roof - which one is preferred? Both. Please see Attachment A; Transfort Bus Stop Design Standards & Guidelines page 28 Images 16 and 17 and Page 31 Images 24-27 for Standard shelter design as outlined in Section 1.6.i-iii in the RFP. Additional alternate small size shelter with shed roof is outlined in RFP Section 1.b.iv. Addendum 1 Page 3 of 3 9. Similarly, the shelter needs to provide protection from precipitation. Would Fort Collins consider a shed roof as an alternative to an arched roof (per the CSU design in Attachment B)? This would direct precipitation and runoff behind the shelter and away from customers. No. Bus Stop Design Standards & Guidelines specify an arched roof. 10. If an arched roof - is the polycarbonate to be translucent? Yes. 11. Similarly, we have heard from other communities that polycarbonate roofing deteriorates rapidly, in particular as a result of hailstorms. Would Fort Collins consider a corrugated roof covering instead of polycarbonate for enhanced durability? Polycarbonate is preferred but we could consider metal. Please include both options if able. 12. Please give more detail as to the "runner" listed under the wall specs. Please refer to the Transfort-branded runner depicted in Bus Stop Design Standards & Guidelines Page 31 images 24-27. 13. Perforated metal is listed as per the design standards and as an option. Which one is desired? Perforated metal sides and back are preferred. 14. Is there a drawing for the advertising kiosk? Please refer to the shelter examples in the Bus Stop Standards & Guidelines; Attachment A, page 31, images 24-27. 15. Can you provide the anticipated number of shelters, bike racks, benches, and solar units anticipated in 2025 as well as the expected delivery date of this equipment? Please provide this information for subsequent years as well if available. Specific order dates and quantities are unknown but estimate 20 shelters, benches, lighting options (kits and/or pole mounted solar) in 2025/2026. We’ve experienced roughly 6 month lead time for delivery.
