EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Could you provide the previous bid tabulation, if available?
The last process was a Request for Proposals, not a bid. Therefore, there is no
bid tabulation.
2. Would the buyer consider alternate brands or models of equal quality and functionality?
Yes, as noted on the Pricing Schedule, “Service Providers may submit equal or
better items for consideration.”
3. Would the buyer consider waiving the on-site fittings requirement if the vendor supplies the
full-size run?
Yes. If the full-size run is provided, on-site fittings can be waived.
4. Under II – A – 7 . Ordering Capabilities, is the City flexible on some of the capabilities of the
website? For instance, we may not be able to provide some of the options under this section
such as storing individual officer measurements (but may be worked around at store level)
or ad-hoc reporting (but store/web team can run reporting for City as needed
weekly/monthly).
Yes. The City is flexible with some of the capabilities of the website as long the
basic ordering functions are present and a contact person is provided to assist
with issues.
5. Is ordering allowance based, or will quartermaster monitor orders for individuals?
The Police Supply Technician will monitor the individual orders.
6. SCOPE OF PROPOSAL # 3 states that proposed pricing is to include tailoring cost. Please
define what constitutes “tailoring” per this request. For instance, adding shoulder patches
and hemming pants is different from tapering a shirt, dropping a waist on a pant, or
shortening a sleeve on a shirt.
Tailoring, per this request, includes adding shoulder patches, rank insignia and
longevity stripes to shirts and jackets. It also includes hemming pants. Detailed
tailoring is not required.
