The specifications call for wood mulch around the plants, but you also specify the use of squeegees in the mulched beds. The plans also specify that riprap is to be used. What Mulch is to be used? A: Riprap shall be used in the areas shown on plans. The specified mulch around individual plants is squeegee, per Section 32 93 00, subsection 2.03. Mulch around trees and shrubs will extend to the saucer rings per details. Mulch around perennials should be approximately 12"to 18" in diameter, depending on pot size. Please disregard the word "wood" in subsection 3.05.A.2. 6. Landscape: SF calculations on the plans do not match SF calculations in the bid tab. Plant schedule has been reconciled with plans and a new Sheet L- 3 has been issued with revisions noted. Bid Schedule has been updated. 9. Landscape: 3 CY/1000sf of soil amendment for native plants? Industry standard is 1CY/1000sf for shrub beds/native plants. Please advise A: Please use industry standard 1CY/1000sf. 10. Landscape: Where should concrete be included in the bid tab? A: Bid Schedule has been revised to include concrete removal and concrete paving. 11. Irrigation: Is there a concern that the 2" valves will not operate at low flow conditions (less than 10GPM)? A:This is not a concern as irrigation manufacturer literature indicate that irrigation valves can operate with flows less than 1 GPM. 12. Irrigation: How will warranty work with manual drip zones? A: Refer to specification 32 84 00, 1.8 Guarantee/Warranty and Replacement. Warranty is two years from formal written acceptance by City of Fort Collins Representative. 13. Can we confirm there are 83 boulders in that pile onsite to meet specs for boulder outcrop areas? A: It is assumed that the boulder stockpile will satisfy approximately 2/3 of the required number of boulders for the outcrop areas. Contractor shall budget for approximately 1/3 of the boulders for the outcrops to be purchased (match in appearance/rock type). Payment will not differentiate between the salvaged and purchased boulders. 14. Price walls as new buff sandstone? A: Yes, assume all material for walls will be purchased buff sandstone. 15.
