To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above, the
following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed in the following sections of this
addendum:

Questions and Answers
1. Would you accept Products from Sound Off Signal or Whelen if they met or exceeded the
specifications and performance of the products requested?
A: Yes, as long as the wiring harness and electrical requirements can be met in the RFP.
2. Do you have a Census of how many vehicles you did in 2023 / 2022.
A: Due to manufacturer delays we had dozens of units cancelled and we had to reorder them. We
ordered the following amounts of units in these years:
2022 – FCPS (22 Units) Other City Units that required upfitting (27)
2023 – FCPS (37 Units) Other City Units (34)
2024 – FCPS (32 Units) Other City Units to date (25)
3. What Make model Radio are you using for police vehicles ? Are they Remote heads or Dash
Mount Radios ? Motorola APX 6500 with remote head.
4. What Docks are you using ? What Computers are you Using make and model? Havis DS-DELL
426 Dock. Dell Rugged Latitude 5430
5. Could you provide pictures of a current patrol car inside or outside
Attached
6. Are graphics included in the requirement ?
A: Being able to do graphics is not a requirement.
7. Will the City of Fort Collins accept SoundOff Signal products as a substitution/alternative
equipment for the lighting and siren controller system?
• This would include items such as exterior and interior lightbars (SoundOff Mpower or
Nforce), perimeter lighting (SoundOff Mpower fascia lights, Nforce lights, Intersector lights,
etc.), siren amplifiers and siren speakers, SoundOff 500 series controllers, etc.
A: Yes, as long as the warranty, wiring harness and electrical requirements can be met in the RFP.
8. How many vehicles will require truck toppers, cargo van shelving, ladder racks, and spray -in
bedliners?
A: This varies by year. Typically no more than a dozen units require those items. Spray in bedliners
are required on nearly 100% of the truck purchases. Often times this is handled through the
manufacturer.
