Answer: Yes; as long as they all adhere to the specifications stated in the RFP. You would do this by submitting separate proposals as Option #1, Option #2, etc. 2) How large of a clear span opening would you like to protect? Answer: We would like to be able to span as close to two lanes as possible, but that is just one consideration. 3) Do you have a certain model barrier you are interested in? Answer: We have seen several from different manufacturers that have some of the specifications we consider important. We prefer a system that is configurable to different locations, i.e., alley ways, streets, parking lot access, etc. Agility of use and ease of set up/tear down is also a consideration. 4) Do you require a barrier system that allows traffic to flow through it (powered barrier that can be opened and closed), similar to the Delta Scientific DSC900 or DSC1500? Answer: That option would be considered beneficial, but not a deal breaker. The barrier (or gate) can have a powered or non-powered component, as long as it is reliable and easy to use, while meeting the same vehicle intrusion specifications. 5) Do you require a barrier system that would allow pedestrians to walk through but would prevent all vehicle traffic, similar to a Delta Scientific TB100 or TB150 Portable Barricade System? Answer: Again, the more versatile the system is, the more consideration it will get. That includes the preferred ability for pedestrians to pass through, including meeting ADA standards.
