Exhibit 1 – Questions and Answers
1. Is there an engineer's estimate or budget/range for this project?
Response: The cost estimates and budget information can be shared upon completion of this RFP
process.
2. Please provide details/ specifications of the cross-floodplain control logs to be placed on
the project per drawing sheet D1?
Response: The project team anticipates a total of approximately 4-8 floodplain logs will be placed
to create diversity and boosted hydrologic retention for the beaver dam analogs. These logs will
be cottonwood or peach leaf willow and will be field fit at the direction of the engineer,
geomorphologist, and project manager. The logs will be approximately 6-18 inches wide with a
maximum length of 20 feet.
3. Can on site soil be used in the construction of the BDA’s or will soil need to be imported?
Response: We will need to have a conversation about soil sourcing with the design team, City
staff, and the contractor. Please budget for importing soil in case this is needed.
4. Will the willow plantings come as bare root stock or in containers. If in containers, what
size?
Response: The willows are in D40 size pots that are 2.5 inch wide and 10 inch deep. See image
below.
