The post does not address removal of material from the ballfields. Are we removing the current infield mix to replace it with the Stabilized Gold Infield from G&S Solutions? a. The City is re-grading the fields per the details provided in the RFP with the recommendations from the proposals. Stabilized Gold Infield from G&S Solutions is the preferred material should we have to bring in any additional material. 2. Are we just tilling to a depth of 4 inches to add the MVP Turface and mix prior to a topdress of Stabilized Gold? a. There are set parameters in the RFP detailing the grading prior to the tilling and topdress. 3. If we are removing it, is there anywhere to dispose of the material near Rolland Moore Park? a. There will be a dedicated lot on site to dump any excess material. The City will reuse and reappropriate excess material to other sites if needed. 4. Typically, we will transport and dump at another park or local high school who wants the infield mix. This will result in a much lower bid as our disposal site charges by the ton. a. The City will reuse and reappropriate excess material to other sites if needed. 5. Is the City interested in upgrading the Rolland Moore ballfields into a synthetic surface? a. The City is not interested in upgrading to synthetic surface. 6. The section referring to the infield mix states only one supplier. Will the city allow material that will be equal to? a. Equivalent material will be considered. The preferred mix stated in the RFP is what is currently on the fields. Specifications of equivalent material will be evaluated by the interview team if it will be allowed. Please provide pricing of the preferred and equivalent material.
