Questions & Answers
Q1: Are we able to shut down the alley?
A1: Yes. For recycling and trash pickup we pull them to the side street.
Q2: What is the amount of time estimated for each project?
A2: It is estimated to take all three projects about a month.
Q3: What are the flow rates for the sewer pipes?
A3: Expect a normal flow rate of a 6” pipe
Q4: What material are the alleys paved with?
A4: Recycled asphalt
Q5: Do we use flowfill?
A5: Contractors can use flowfill, or dirt. If dirt is used, a compaction test must be done every
18’’ vertically, with a minimum or 96% compaction.
Q6: Do you pump high water table water down the storm drain?
A6: No, it goes down the open sewer pipe.
