the following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed in the following sections of this

EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Is this RFP for on-call dependent care services for a brand-new program to be offered to
employees? If not, who is your current provider? And why is the current program being
considered for replacement?
This is an existing program that has been offered for over a decade (Sec Section I,
Paragraph B – Background). Currently, The Family Care Connection is providing
these services.
City Code limits contract terms to 5 year s. Any program/project with an annual cost
over $60,000 is subject to a formal solicitation process at least every 5 years.
Increased utilization of this program over the last 5 years has resulted in the annual
cost that requires a formal RFP process as we approach the end of the current
agreement’s life.
2. The RFP states that it is on one-year periods. Is there an opportunity to extend to longer terms
of up to three years?
The City is willing to consider a longer term, but the term may not exceed 5 years
per City Code limitations.
