Per City of Fort Collins Building Air Leakage Test Protocol:
Where it is impractical to isolate the renovation or addition and perform a blower door test, the
building air barrier shall be inspected for continuity and integrity by an approved inspector.
It will be necessary to define wall and roof assembly materials serving as the air barrier in the
existing building and ensure that there is a continuous plane of air tightness between them and
the addition air barrier.
The inspection should be performed during a time when items in the checklist below are visible
and can be inspected.

• Vestibule is Slab On Grade.

• Wall system is sealed at Exterior Wall/Slab and built per plan.
• TPO Roof is flashed at dissimilar roof/wall junction and penetrations per manufacture
specification.
• Architect and engineering firms have both certified the construction meets design
criteria.
