Dear Mr. Smeester:
Enclosed please find the latest draft of the proposed revision to the Land
Development Guidance System regarding Neighborhood Convenience Centers. In
discussing your involvement on the working committee, sloe Frank, project
manager, thought it best that your participation be'limited to providing
written comments. The committee has been formed and has met on several
occasions with both staff and the outside consultant. The committee is,
therefore, "up to speed" and adding new members at this late stage would
not be productive. It should be emphasized that your comments are encour-
aged particularly because of your familiarity with the planning process and
the North Lemay Plaza P.U.D.
In discussing the action by City Council on January 5, 1.988 in the appeal
of the Preliminary P.U.D. for North Lemay Plaza, I have enclosed Resolution
#88-14 which states findings .of the Counci 1 appeal. Since this is a land
use i ssue, enforcement would be the responsi bili ty of the Zoni ng Adni nis-
trator, Mr. Peter Barnes.
Please keep in mind that as of this writing, the final approval for North
.Lemay Plaza has not been heard by the Planning and Zoning Board. There is
no right to develop until final approval is granted and the final documents
are executed and recorded.
