HomeMy WebLinkAboutRICKETTS SUBDIVISION - 9-88 - CORRESPONDENCE - CITIZEN COMMUNICATION (2)0 March 30, 194 Kenneth E. Johnston 225 Briarwood Court Fort Collins, CO 80521 Debbie deBesche, Pro3ect Planner Office of Development Services Planning Department 300 LaPorte Avenue Fort Collins, CO 80522 Dear Ms deBesche: QP 4 i Due to an unexpected illness, I was unable to attend the public hearing on Monday, March 28, 1988, regarding Case Number 9-88, Ricketts Subdivision - Preliminary. I was able to view the hearings via Channel 27 on Columbine Cablevision. I have the following comments concerning this case: 1. The presenter, Dick Rutherford, stated that the children from this subdivision would attend Moore School. It is my understanding that the boundry for Moore School is Taft Hill and Mulberry, which means all children in this sub- division will attend Irish School. Irish is currently near maximum enrollment. What effect will 35 new homes in this area have on the enrollment at Irish? 2. There is currently an underground irrigation canal which crosses the proposed area from west to east on a line from the south edge of the Poudre High School tennis courts to service an area east of the Tenth Green subdivision. This canal periodically plugs due to trash or other causes and requires some excavation to clear the waterway. Will this canal be re-routed? When problems occur, how will this canal be accessed? 3. There are power lines on poles which go north to south along both east and west boundries of the property. Will these lines be buried? I would appreciate receiving any plots or other information available pertaining to this case. PS: I did not receive adequate notice address: K.S. HOHNSTORN 225 BRIARWOOD ROAD Sincerely, enneth E Johnston of this meeting due to the Notice correct address above.
