Stuart St. Fort Collins, Colorado CSE Project No. C9195-1 Dear Mr. Serbousek: CSE Consultants visited the above -referenced project on May 23, 2019 as requested. The purpose of the visit was to observe the foundation excavation. At the time of our visit the excavations for the new addition areas were complete; except for the area beneath the existing detached garage (detail 4/Sl), which will need to be hand excavated Based on our observations, the addition structure maybe supported on a spread footing foundation in accordance with our Agreement and the plans prepared by our office dated 3/4/19. Additionally At the time of this visit the contractor has completely removed the existing first floor joists, the existing first floor center beam, the first floor sheathing; and the first floor foundation sill plates at the existing foundation walls. It is our understanding that the contractor now desires to use new 9%Z" depth wood I joists at the first floor system. In general there are not useable existing anchor bolts for the new foundation sill plates that will be required. A few items relating to the existing center floor beam foundation pier supports and the existing apnYTq of the proposed south crawl space addition are not as expected. Revised plans for the new foundation sill plates, first floor centerbeam & foundation pier supports, and the first floor joists are required.
