Dear Mr. Rauch,
At your request, we conducted a site visit to the above referenced site on Tuesday, September
31, 2019. The purpose of this site visitwas to observe the installed beam to column connections
on the basement beams and determine if they were adequate. Our observations indicated that
the posts were offset under the beams. This offset was causing a slight rotation at the ends of
the beams. We recommended installing a A" x 4" steel plate on each post adjacent to the screw
adjuster. This will create a rigid connection between the post and the beam and prevent any
further rotation. Photos of this repair were reviewed and appear to have been installed as
recommended. These rigid connections will provide adequate support for the beam ends.
