Re: Excavation & Footing Observation at 4965 Hogan Drive, Fort Collins, CO

Gentlemen:
As requested, we have visually observed the excavation at the above referenced location. The
purpose of this observation was to verify that the bearing capacity of the soil is adequate for the
support of the residential additions to be constructed there.
At the time of our observation, the excavation had been completed. The excavations revealed
brown and gravelly lean clays to the depths excavated for the frost depth concrete stem wall and
footings to be constructed.
We also visually observed the footing sizes, widths and steel reinforcement at the residence
under construction at the above referenced location. The observation was performed on
September 15, 2016.
It is our opinion that the footing sizes, widths and steel reinforcing were in general conformance
with the foundation plan, drawn by Crown Engineering, llc. Project number 50-01-23-01 dated
July 22, 2016.

Gentlemen:
We have visually observed the concrete foundation wall steel reinforcing placed in the forms at
the residential addition under construction at the above referenced location. The observation was
performed on September 19, 2016.
It is our opinion that the foundation wall steel reinforcement was placed in general conformance
with the foundation plan, drawn by Crown Engineering, llc. Project number 50-01-23-01, dated
July 22, 2016.
