AIA urban|rural design 252 Linden Sreet Fort Collins, CO 80521 RE: Flats on Mulberry Domestic Water Service Sizing BG Project #10231.00 Brian, BG Buildingworks, Inc. (BG) has been requested to complete domestic water service sizing calculations for the Flats on Mulberry project at the corner of Howes and Mulberry in Fort Collins, CO. The two existing buildings are anticipated to be renovated into short-term properties. The two buildings are intended to have separate services and meters; fire suppression service is also anticipated to be provided separate from the domestic water service (i.e. not combined services). The Owner has committed to the following plumbing fixtures. Based on the 2018 International Plumbing Code sizing requirements, the below table lists the anticipated fixtures, quantity, water source fixture units, and total gpm for each building. FIXTURE UNITS FIXTURE UNITS FIXTURE TYPE dFU/ each QTY dFU total GPM (approx.)QTY dFU total GPM (approx.) The estimated maximum developed length, with fittings, is 150ft. Based on the 2018 IPC, these variables translate to a 3/4” meter and service pipe. Please let us know if any of the above values should be edited or if there is any additional information BG can provide at this time. Sincerely, Erin Pasold, PE Sr. Project Manager
