The code states that any portion of the floor area of the 2nd story having a ceiling height of at least 7.5' counts as floor area. The section drawing shows a height of 7' 5 7/8" to a dashed line. What does the dashed line represent and is there any portion of the 2nd story that has a ceiling height of at least 7.5'? If there is, show that on the plans. The site plan needs to be changed to 11,200 square feet, and that figure is the one that needs to be used for all FAR calculations.
