To Whom It May Concern,
The solar array being developed at Waterglen is maximizing the available space outside of the
floodway to participate in the City of Fort Collins Solar Power Purchase Program. Tree shading
on solar panels can drastically inhibit the amount of solar production, thus affecting the overall
economics. Due to land availability and solar production inhibition Sandbox Solar would like to
request the removal of the cottonwoods labeled on the survey as 22,23, 24. Each has a value of
1.5, creating a total of 4.5 that needs to be replaced. This is a 10 Acre parcel with moist soil and
irrigation in certain areas. The replacement of these trees with equal value is possible and
Sandbox Solar is prepared to make these changes.
Sandbox Solar is prepared to make a payment -in -lieu of adding new trees.
