Mountain Avenue)*, the staff of the Planning Department will hold a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The applicant will be in attendance to answer any questions that you might have. The proposal is for a private elementary school to locate in an existing church, located at 1401 W. Mountain Avenue (see attached map). The applicant is requesting permission to operate a school for approximately 60 to 90 school children (grades K-6) in the existing Dayspring Church building. School hours would be Monday through Friday from Sam to 3pm or 4pm, depending on extracurricular activities. No external changes will be made to the building with this development. Additional landscaping is being proposed. The site is zoned NCL, Neighborhood Conservation Low Density Residential, which allows public and private schools for elementary education provided that the intended uses are shown on a site plan which is submitted to, reviewed, and approved by the Planning and Zoning Board. The list of affected property owners being notified for this neighborhood meeting is derived from official records at the Larimer County Assessor's Office. Because of the lag time between property sales and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners and residences may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbors of this pending meeting so that all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
