Dear Tim,
This is a request for a variance to your requirement that the headwall and wingwall for Plum
Creek at South Taft Hill Road in Glenmoor P.D.P. be outside of the right-of-way of Taft Hill Road.
We have the East side ofthe headwall on the new East right-of-way line. We have dedicated
an additional 17.5 feet of right-of-way. The wingwall protrudes 11 feet into the right-of-way, but it
does not interfere with the detached sidewalk. The proposed sidewalk is detached 12 feet from the
present curb.
We have already moved the cul de sac of Kirra Court and reduced the number of lots to
satisfy the requirements of the Storm Water Department. The right-of-way for the Plum Creek
Channel can not be narrowed.
For the above reasons we feel the variance would be appropriate and would not have an
adverse effect on South Taft Hill Road.
