RE: Project #7-95B Waterfield PUD
The District has sufficient treatment plant capacity to accept all of our service area influent wastestreams for
the next twenty years. The District will cooperate with requests for service and will respond positively to those
requests. The District has capacity to serve Waterfield PUD's application for service.
For those parcels which are a significant distance from our existing collector line end points, the District
will/must seek funding for those extensions from the property owner(s) involved. The District will pay for in-
house preliminary engineering studies and cost estimates for those extensions and may participate in some
financial support of proposed sewer line extensions, on a case by case basis.
For those funds expended by the property owner for sewer line collector extensions within the District's service
area, a Recovery Agreement contract may be entered into with the District. This negotiated agreement
stipulates a twenty year capital recovery to the developerfinvestor, with interest accrual.
The District complies with all federal (EPA) and state water quality control regulations, which include any and
all necessary treatment works upgrades on a continuing basis, as it has since 1965. The District policy is to
expand its treatment capacity, and its collection system, within its service area in support of future
developments, at the least possible cost to the user base, in keeping with our purpose of serving the general
public.
