* All hot bituminous pavement shall be Grading "C" conforming to most current Colorado Department of Transportation
(CDOT) specifications.
* All aggregate base course shall be class 5 or 6 conforming to most current Colorado Department of Transportation
specifications.
* Subgrade shall be stripped, scarified to a depth of six inches (6"), and recompacted to at least 95% of maximum density at +/-
2% standard proctor optimum moisture.
* Soil sterilization recommended under all new paving.
NOTE:
All pavement sections noted with these plans are preliminary and are for bidding purposes only. They do not reflect the
results of a Final Pavement Design Report submittal and shall not be utilized for construction. No pavement, curb, gutter or
sidewalk shall be placed until a signed approved copy of the Final Pavement Design Report has been distributed. All final
pavement sections shall be in accordance with the approved Final Pavement Design Report. Paving shall not commence until
subgrade compaction tests are taken and approved in accordance with the City's standards adopted in April, 1996.
