Department: Engineering Development Review Contact: Sheri Langenberger, 970-221-6573, slangenberger@fcgov.com Topic: General Comment Number: 1 Comment Originated: 04/01/2016 04/01/2016: The property has Hollywood curb and gutter which does not meet current ADA standards. The sidewalk will need to be widened (min additional width allowed to be added is 4 feet) or will need to be replaced with new curb, gutter, and sidewalk that has a 5.5 foot sidewalk width. Either choice will need to meet current ADA criteria. The plans will need to label and show which choice is planned. Appropriate details will need to be added to the plans. All concrete work within the right-of-way is required to be completed by a contractor licensed to do work within the right-of-way. Applicant Response. The existing sidewalk measures 32" wide. By adding 48"/4' minimum of sidewalk that meets ADA criteria, the total sidewalk that fronts 1026 Summer St will be widened to 80", or 6' 8" wide. This work will be completed by Site Solutions — a contractor who is licensed to do work within the right-of-way. Comment Number: 2 Comment Originated: 04/01/2016 04/01/2016: The project is not showing installation of a driveway cut, but if you desired to do so the maximum or a residential property is 24 feet wide. Applicant Response The existing curb and gutter will be maintained; so no need for driveway cut install Comment Number: 3 Comment Originated: 04/01/2016 04101/2016: A 9 foot utility easement will need to be dedicated along the frontage of the property. Information on the EASEMENT DEDICATION process for doing this can be found at: http://www.fcgov.com/engineering/devrev.php Applicant Response: A utility easement dedication application was submitted 4/6/2016.
