Item: 400 E. Olive B&B
Applicant: Robert Parker, Jr. and Beverly N. Yarber
Dear Ms. Moore, (Engineering Department)
In the above reference letter dated May 8, 2001, we were advised to
contact both you, Eric Bracke and Mr. Matt Baker in the Engineering
Department concerning issues regarding our proposed Bed & Breakfast. Please
refer to this letter. If you did not receive a copy I will be happy to
provide you with a copy. I am e-mailing all of you this letter. We are
currently in the planning stages of converting our residence to a five
bedroom B&B. We are anticipating an October opening date and it is our
understanding that this process could take two months. Your expedient reply
would be appreciated. This property was a restaurant for twenty-five (25)
years before it was converted back into a residence in December of 1998.
a. Mr. Baker, are there street owrsizing fees applicable? If so what
will they be and why are they applicable?
b. Mr. Bracke, is a Transportation Impart Study needed? if so why?
c. Existing damage to curb, gutter and sidewalk was repaired in July,
1999.
d. What is the process for improving the alley? Can we pave from the
existing
concrete to our property line? Do we have to have the plan approved
before proceeding?
e. No curb cuts will be made.
f. What is the Development Construction Permit and Utility Plans? Are
they required for our project?
g. Is an additional right-of-way and dedication of utility easements
necessary? If so, what are they?
In. All utilities are underground.
Thank you for your assistance.
Beverly N. Barber
