Petition to Prohibit Business Development
Within Dakota Ridge
There is a City of Fort Collins hearing on July 18 to allow business development within Dakota
Ridge. Currently, we have a covenant prohibiting any businesses within Dakota Ridge. The
value of your house will decrease if homes are converted into businesses. Traffic congestion and
parking problems will get worse if homes are converted into businesses. Your values for a
family community will not be upheld if homes are converted into businesses.
We can stop the business development of Dakota Ridge by organizing together to petition
against the modification to the Land Use Code and the abolishment of our Dakota Ridge
covenant and community.
If the situation is in doubt we would request a continuance of the hearing to allow family
residents to return from summer vacations and to better organize everyone's wishes and desires.
Please sign the following petition indicating your support of a family community within Dakota
Ridge. If you have the time or inclination, please present a copy of this petition directly to your
