The purpose of this letter is to notify you of two public meetings for a proposed rezoning
in your neighborhood. The rezoning request is for the property located north of Vine Drive,
east of Wood Street, directly west of the City of Fort Collins Utility Service Center and is
known as the City of Fort Collins Vehicle Storage and Operation Service Rezoning,
File #23-03.
The first meeting is a Neighborhood Information Meeting. This meeting will be held on
Tuesday, August 26, 2003, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Poudre Room at the Service
Center, 700 North Wood Street. This will be an informal meeting with the applicant and City
of Fort Collins to discuss the aspects of the rezoning and answer questions relating to the
rezoning request.
The second meeting is a City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board Meeting'. This
meeting will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, City Hall West, 300 Laporte Avenue. This is a formal hearing to consider the
rezoning request and make a recommendation to the City Council for the City of Fort
Collins Vehicle Storage and Operation Service Rezoning.
This is a request to rezone 15.3 acres of land from the current zoning of POL — Public
Open Lands to the proposed zoning of E — Employment District. The land is owned by the
City of Fort Collins.
The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from
official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home
occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property
owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of these pending
meetings so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend
these meetings, written comments are welcome.
