Please have a public hearing ordered for the proposal for 2333 W. Vine Dr.
A storm water retention pond is required and is planned for the
south-east corner of the property. Since there is not enough slope on the
property to allow gravity to empty the retention pond (and it must drain),
a pump house has been proposed on the drawing board to dump the water on
to Impala Drive. Electrical outages can occur as the result of a severe
storm , pumps require electricity. Presently, there is no curb and gutter
on the property due south to contain this additional impact of water onto
Impala Drive. Is an underground pipe connecting the retention pond to the
ditch at Cherry Street a solution?
