Hi Jon,
Cameron and I talked this morning after sleeping on the design you presented us yesterday. We both
agreed that the design was a substantial improvement from the earlier proposals. The additional step
back to form a useable terrace and the change in color and material of the third and fourth floors makes a
big difference. It allows the mass of the building to read as a 3-story building with a top floor that
effectively recedes. While it may not be the absolute ideal solution, we agree that, in fact, it meets the
intent of the standard. We sketched out options that would provide a larger terrace and more of a step
back and came to the conclusion that the extra effort would not pay off in meaningful ways. Therefore, we
are convinced that this design meets the standards and Cameron approves the design you presented.
Thank you for the effort you made to investigate this issue with us. We look forward to seeing this project
move forward!
