Dear Bob:
We request the following variances to normal detention
requirements for SouthRidge Greens P.U.D.
1) We request that detention requirements be waived for
all phases in the area south of the Main Creek Ditch.
This area will be graded to drain to Fossil Creek.
Because of it's proximity to Fossil Creek and position
in the basin, the flow from SouthRidge Greens will
peak mucn earlier than flow from the rest of the
basin. We have discussed this with Phil Wayte and Jan
Kimsey, of Simons Li and Associates. They have no
problems with undetained discharge.
2) We request that detention requirements be waived for
Phase I in the area north of Mail Creek Ditch.'Normal
detention requirements will be satisfied for future
residential Phases for this area.
The golf course will not result in any increase in imper-
viousness or any additional points of concentration.
Due to steep existing slopes, depression storage of the
undeveloped ground is not a factor in reducing the rain-
fall to runoff coefficient. Therefore, Phase I development
will not alter existing drainage characteristics in this
area.
If you need additional information to process this request
for variance, please give me a call.

Dear Mr. Blackwell,
Regarding your request for a variance in the detention requirements
at South Ridge Greens P.U.D., I have the following comments.
As you have indicated the peak runoff flow from the south drainage
area will reach Fossil Creek sufficiently ahead of the peak flow
in the creek itself so as to pose no problem downstream. Your request
is hereby granted provided the south irrigation pond is constructed
in such a way as to create as ef£icJ emt. path f.Qr the. 3,af1-year. Ucw,
routing (i.e. a large enough spillway to adequately handle the 100-year
flow and a hydraulically efficient design). Substantial erosion
control must also be installed at the spillway to insure a long life.
Your additional request not to provide detention volume for Phase I
construction in the north pond is also granted provided the'fi—nal
grading of the golf course not create any points of concentrated
runoff that will a"u a ncreased peak flows and erosion.
It is understood that the north pond will be constructed during Phase I
construction and will provide enough capacity for 100 year peak flows
from the future residential area when releasing at the 2-year historic
rate.

RE: Street Extension Escrow for Southridge Greens
I talked to Edna in Accounting about setting up an escrow for this project.
She said there is no problem in doing so.
I would suggest that we take certain precautions to insure that this situation
is carefully recorded so that there is no question of what is intended in the
future. Perhaps even to the extent of recording a map or statement with the
deeds to the properties that are on the ends of the street that would be
temporairly cut-de-saced.
The main point is that we need to be able to track the actions on this item in
the future.
Please let me know if you need anything further.

RE: Emergency Access Road at Southridge
On Monday, September 22, I inspected the extension of
Southridge Greens Boulevard to Trilby Road and found it
adequate for emergency use. For this reason, PFA no longer
j!!l� has a need for the existing emergency access road connecting
the golf course clubhouse and Greenridge Circle. We have no
objection to this access road being vacated or otherwise
altered from its present condition.
