ORDINANCE NO. 32 , 1964,
ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF WHAT IS KNOWN AS
THE THUNDERBIRD ESTATES EIGHTH ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS AND TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE LIMITS
AND JURISDICTION THEREOF, PURSUANT 10 THE AUTHORITY
CONTAINED IN ARTICLE 11, CHAPTER 139, COLORADO REVISED
STATUTES 1953
WHEREAS, heretofore a written petition was presented to the Council
of the City of Fort Collins in substantial compliance with the provisions of
Article 11, Chapter 139, Colorado Revised Statutes, by the owners of more
than fifty per cent (50X) of the area and who comprise the majority of land-
owners residing in the area of land embraced in what is known as the Thunderbird
Estates Eighth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, wherein and whereby
said petitioners petitioned the City of Fort Collins for annexation of all the
territory embraced in what is known as the Thunderbird Estates Eighth Annexation
to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, comprising the lands shown in the plat
thereof attached to said petition and more particularly described as herein-
after set forth, and
WHEREAS, said petition was accepted by the Council of the City of
Fort Collins by resolution passed and adopted on July 16, 1964, and
WHEREAS, notice for hearing on the 27th day of August, 1964, on au
ordinance approving the annexation of said territory and including the saute
within the limits and jurisdiction of the City of Fort Collins was duly
published as provided by law, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has found that the
petition and the documents thereto attached meet the requirement& of Article
11, Chapter 139, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1953, and
WHEREAS, no proceedings for an election to determine the yuestiou of
annexation have been initiated by written counter -petition as provided by law
and no objection to annexation having bean made,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That after due consideration of the petition for annexation,
the petition for the annexation of all the territory in what is known and
described as the Thunderbird Estates Eighth Annexation to the City of Porc.
Collins, Colorado, as shown by the plat thereof annexed to said petition and
which is more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
A part of the Northwest quarter (NWtt) of Section 25, Townshtp
7 North, Range 69 West of the 6th Principal Meridian in the
County of Lariner, State of Colorado, contained within the
boundary lines as shown, and considering the North line of
said Northwest Quarter (NW%) to bear North 89°45'00`° East and
with all bearings contained herein relative thereto: Cormnencinr
at the northwest corner of said Section 25; thence North 89°45'(10
East 1,320.10 feet to the northeast corner of the Northwest
quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 25; thence
South 00°08'25" East 1,318.39 feet to the southeast corner of
Thunderbird Estates Third Annexation, which point is also the
southeast corner of Thunderbird Estates Third Subdivisioi; anLt
the True Point of Beginning; thence South 00°00'00" West 260.00
feet; thence South 13055'50" East 126.98 feet; thence South
24047'10" East 131.50 feet; thence South 58°52'00" West 188.1"i
feet; thence along the arc of a curve to the left whose radius•
is 15.00 feet and whose chord beam North 76008100" West 21.21

be accepted and approved and that said territory be annexed and made a puit of
the City of Fort: Collins and be included within the limits and jurisdictic,) cst
the City of Fort: Collins as an "A" Residential District, and that the City
Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare certified copies
of this ordinance, to each of which shall be attached a plat of said ThU1.cer)ird
Estates Eighth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, and shall f.i=o
a copy thereof in the office of the Clerk and Recorder of the County of

and another copy thereof in the office of the Clerk of the City of Fort Lett .,
together with a certified copy of said petition, and another copy of sal,'
petition and approving ordinance with the Secretary of State of the state e
Colorado.
Section 2. That in accepting and approving the plat of the 'Thc:nderhirc!
Estates Eighth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, the City of Fort Cc.Ll.rr
does not assume obligations respecting the construction of water mains, sewer
linen, gas mains, electric light lines or other services or utilities .:it:r
respect to service of said addition, except as may be required and provider 11-
the owners of the property within the limits of said addition in compliarrt
with the terms and provisions of Chapter 15, Code of Ordinances of the City of
Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, relating to local and public
improvements.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and orderer+
published this 27th day of August, A.D. 1964, and to be presented for final
passage on the 17th day of September, A.D. 1964.
