BEIfIG AN ORDINAiICE ANNEXING PROPERTY
KNOWN AS THE STEELY ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
WHEREAS, heretofore, a written petition, together with four prints of
an annexatior map was filed with the City Clerk of Fort Collins requesting
the annexation of certain territory more particularly described below to
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found and determined and does hereby
find and determine that saia petition is in substantial compliance with the
provisions of Section 31-12-107 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as
amended; and
WHEREAS, the owners of 100, of the property to be annexed have peti-
tioned for said annexation; and
1111EREAS, not less than one -sixth (1/6th) of the periir,eter of the area
to be annexed is continuous 'with the City of Fort Collins and a community
of interest exists between the territory to be annexed and the City of Fort
Collins; and the territory to be annexed is urban or will be urbanized in
the near future; and such territory is integrated or is capable of being
integrated with the City of Fort Collins; ar.
WHEREAS, none of the provisions of Section 31-12-105 of the Coloraao
Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended, are violated by the annexation of this
territory to the Cit;/; and
WHERFAS, no election is recuired under the provisions of Section
31-12-107(2) of the Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended; and no
additional terms and conditions are to be imposed in connection with this
annexation; and
WHEREAS, the territory is eliqible for annexation; and the City
Council desires to annex the same to the City of Fort Collins.
NOId, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1. That all of the territory more particularly described as
situate in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to-vait:
Beginning at a point 890 feet North and 30 feet West of the
Southeast corner of Northeast of Northeast 20-7-69, then
N 89°46' Fi 300 feet, N 0°14' E 100 feet South E1.9'4b' East
300 feel;, South 0'14' West 100 feet to the point of beq_in-

be, and it hereby is, annexed to the City of Fort Collins and made a part
of said City, to be known as the Steely Annexation.
Section 2. That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort
Collins, the City of Fort Collins does not assume any obligation respecting
the construction of water mains, sewer lines, gas mains, electric service
lines, streets or any other services or utilities in connection with the
territory hereby annexes except as may be provided by the ordinances of the
City of Fort Collins.
Section 3. Within ninety (90) days from the date this Ordinance
becomes effective, no buildinc permit shall be issued for any of the lands
herein described unless said, lands have been zoned under the zoning ordi-
nances of the City.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 2nd day of October A.D. 1979, and to be presented for final
passage on the 16th day of October A.D. 1979.
