We have received your redlined drawing for the Provincetowne, PUD Filing #2 Trilby Road
sanitary sewer. We have provided the following written response and the enclosed final
drawing for your review. A mylar drawing has been sent to Mr. Terry Farrill for approval and
will then be forwarded to you.
1. The proposed ground above pipe would leave no cover contrary to your statement in
the response letter. Please provide minimum cover above the pipe.
Response: The cover shown above the 24" storm pipe has been proposed so that
the pipe daylights into the channel. Therefore, no cover is needed at that
location (the flared end section). In the future, the sidewalk will be extended
and improvements to this area will be required. The future sidewalk will be at
approximately 4959.0, while the top of the 24" will be at approximately 4957.0,
resulting in a clearance of 2 feet. These proposed future improvements are not
shown on this plan since they are not to be constructed at this time.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours truly,

We have received your comments for the Provincetowne, PUD Filing #2 Trilby Road sanitary
sewer. We have provided the following written responses and a revised plan for your review.
1. Need to work with the district on providing easements for this line and the installation
of it outside of the row.
Response: The sewer will now end at the property line and will no longer need an
easement.
2. Show the channel in its existing condition. How much cover is above this line? The
culvert will need to be extended in the future. Is there clearance so that this line can
be extended in the future? Show where the culvert would sit over the sewer line, the
culvert will need to be extended beyond the sidewalk with future improvements.
Response: There is adequate clearance for the culvert to be extended in the
future. The crossing is shown on the profile.
3. Need to number this sheet as a part of the original set.
Response: The sheet number has been changed to 62A of 99.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Re: Provincetowne PUD Filing 2 ditch lateral and diversion structure construction.
Dear Jim;
It was brought to our attention by Steve Dyekman the Superintendent for the North Louden Ditch that some work
was occurring on the lateral that extends eastward from the Benson Reservoir that they were not aware of and not all
of the work being done is acceptable to them. It appears the work being done is shown on the approved Utility Plans
for this project. However, the Utility Plans do not contain the Ditch Companies/ Owners approval as required by
Section 1.2.7 of the Storm Drainage Design Criteria and Construction Standards.
In accordance with these standards the Developer is responsible for contacting the Ditch Company and obtaining the
appropriate ditch company signatures prior to submitting for City review and approval. The City Natural Resources
Department has also indicated to me that they told Manhard Engineering (the design consultant) that they needed to
work with the Lateral owner and get there approval for all work associated with and/or would impact the lateral. It
does not appear that this was done.
In order to correct this error KB Homes needs to work with the lateral owner to obtain approval for the work
associated with the lateral, correct problems with the diversion structure (correct gate placement and make sure that
the water will go into the appropriate ditch when the gate for that ditch is opened) and provide an easement adequate
for maintenance of the lateral. Approval can be signatures on the existing plans showing approval of existing
designs or signature on revised plans. Any revisions to the plans also need to be reviewed and approved by the City.
Let us know within 2 weeks of the date of receiving this letter as to your planed course of action and anticipated
timeline.
If you have any questions, please contact Sheri Wamhoff at 221-6750.
Sincerely,
Sheri L. Wamhofi; P.E.
