Please make sure that the sidewalk paving at the corner meets ADA and City ramp standards. This work in City ROW will need to be inspected and permitted by the City. Your contractor (licensed to do work in the row) will need to get a permit from Engineering Inspection to do this work. Please make sure the stairs at the corner are on private property. If they are within the ROW an encroachment permit needs to be obtained from Engineering Inspection. There is no sidewalk along the Lake St frontage. It would be good if this sidewalk is installed with this project. Even if it is not installed with this project, this property is responsible for its future installation. Comments at the meeting indicated that the building will need to be sprinklered. A fire line will need to be extended to the building. Street cut and inspection fees will apply. Fees are tripled for cuts into any street repaved that was paved in the last 5 years. dl Date CHECK HERE IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE COPIES OF REVISIONS Plat Site Drainage Report Other Utility Redline Utility Landscape Page 1 of F6rtl SITE PLAN ADVISORY REVIEW Current Planning PO Box 580 COMMENT SHEET Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 Fax: 970-224-6134 DATE: September 29, 2009 TO: Engineering PROJECT PLANNER: Emma McArdle #33-09 1504 Remington Street Plans to be emailed PLEASE NOTE: Please return all comments to the project planner no later than the staff review meeting: October 6 2009 - x Note --Please identify your redlines for future reference ❑ No Problems M or Problems Name (please print) Concerns (see below, attached, or DMS) CHECK HERE IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE COPIES OF REVISIONS _Plat _Site _Drainage Report _Other _Utility _Redline Utility _Landscape c., Selected Issues Report CitV 4 T,011t collins Date: 11 /23/2009 1504 REMINGTON STREET RENOVATION - SITE PLAN ADVISORY REVIEW SELECTION CRITERIA: Department = Transportation Planning; Status = All ISSUES: Department: Transportation Planning Issue Contact: Jennifer Petrik Topic: General Number:1 Created:10/6/2009 Pending It is recommended sidewalks be installed along Lake Street. Due to existing grade conditions and existing trees the standard detached walk may not be appropriate for this site and a modified sidewalk may be necessary. This is an area of high pedestrian traffic. A high percentage of visitors are likely to arrive via sensible modes (alternative modes) of transportation. Providing safe pedestrian connectivity increases the safety of pedestrians arriving and leaving the side as well as increases pedestrian connectivity in the area. Visitor's in wheel chairs often travel without a vihicle. ADA accessibility challenges with stairs from sidewalk to front entrance. Consider a path or route for wheelchairs and persons with walkers. Number:2 Created:10/6/2009 Pending [10/6/09] It is recommended that bicycle facilities (bike racks) be provided on a hard surface close to the entrance and preferably in a place protected from the elements. This is a facility that will likely see a high number of visitors arriving and departing by bicycle and by foot. Providing bicycle facilities will encourage visitors to park in an area that is intended for bike parking. Page 1
