All comments must be received by Sheri Wamhoff no later than: June 30, 2003 ❑ No Problems Problems or Concerns (see below or attached) Comments: Add the City signature block to all sheets but the irrigation plans and the landscape plan. Make the following changes to the Cover Sheet - • Title of the plans should be: Utility Plans for Southbound Centre Ave Right Turn Lane at Prospect. Or something similar so that it can be identified for what it is once filed. • The Vicinity Map needs a north arrow and a few of the labelings are incorrect. • Add the two notes listed on the plans to the cover sheet. • Add the Developers/ Clients contact information. Sheet 2 - Remove the: general notes that you have listed and provide the following: 1. General Construction Notes # 1 through 18, 20 through 39, and 42 through 46 as listed in Appendix E- 1 of the Larimer County Urban Area Street Standards (LUCUASS) shall apply and be followed for this project. 2. Benchmarks: (provide two benchmarks) 3. All stationing is based on flowline of roadways unless otherwise noted. 4. Approved Variances are listed as follows: None. Sheet 2 - below the general notes add the following: Construction Notes 1. Sheet 3 — plan and profile sheet. • Identify the inlet on the plan view. Identify the size of the inlet in either the plan view or the profile view. • Provide intersection elevations in accordance with figure 7-27 and identify the transition distance. • Identify the crown line location and how it transitions over. (Per the cross section it appears to remain in the center of the roadway regardless of the width.) • In accordance with the standards a 3% grade break is the maximum grade break allowed within a curb return. What you are showing exceeds this. • The minimum flowline grade is .50%. This is not being met in two locations where new curb is being put in. Where new curb line is being installed the minimum flowline grades need to be met. • The vertical curve does not meet design standards — see Figure 7-18 for design parameters based on the algebraic difference. Sheet 4 — Grading and Drainage Plan • Remove the value of 2 feet in front of asphalt patch note. It will be more than 2 feet that will need to be removed. Add the following note to this sheet: Limits of street cut are approximate. Final limits are to be determined in the field by the City Engineering Inspector. All repairs are to be in accordance with City street repair standards. Sheet 5 — Site Demo Plan • Remove the reference to saw cut 2 feet from the concrete pan. The saw cut line and patch will need to be at the bike lane line. • Add the following note to this sheet: Limits of street cut are approximate. Final limits are to be determined in the field by the City Engineering Inspector. All repairs are to be in accordance with City street repair standards. Sheets 7 and 8 — Details • Add the following details: 708 — street intersection crosspan, 1601 — standard sidewalk (ids the thickness required), 1603 —Access ramp details, 2501 — sidewalk widening details, and add the notes from detail 1606 to the access ramp detail that you put together. • For the access ramp detail that you put together you need to show the ramp that would be on the Centre Ave side of the street as well. You may also need a curb behind the ramp and the transitions will probably not be triangular (see detail 1603). Add 'and sidewalk' to the first note. All sidewalks in Fort Collins are to be built 6" thick: as well. Sheet 10 — Cross sections • Show the new proposed row line on all the sections as applicable. • Add the sidewalk behind the curb and show the grades that are needed to incorporate it. Label the typical width of the sidewalk and if the back of sidewalk is a typical distance away from the flowline identify that as well. • Provide flowline or lip of gutter elevations (typ). • Identify the typical width on the west side of the street as well.
