Mulberry Fort Collins, CO 80525 PH (303) 484-4220 Dear Sir: The City is taking steps to alleviate a low water pressure problem along the east side of Overland Trail between Prospect Road and Mulberry Avenue. The immediate solution is the enlargement of the area served by the West Prospect Booster Pump. In order to expand the area, a water line needs to be constructed through the Lory Ann Estates Subdivision. The City desires to construct the water line in Cuerto Lane from W. Elizabeth Street to Tierra Lane then west to the end of the cul-de-sac. This follows the water line alignment as approved on the subdivision utility plan. Rather than tie this line into Overland Trail as designed, the City needs to tie it into the water lines in the Overland Trail Subdivision to the south. To do this a new utility easement needs to be dedicated between lots 13 and 14. The existing easement between lots 12 and 13 could then be vacated. I have included a sketch showing the easement relocation and proposed water line. The City will oversize this line from 6" to 8". All costs associated with the oversizing and easement relocation will be paid for by the City. An addendum to your subdivision agreement will be required which will be drafted by the City for your approval. Please contact me at 484-4220 ext. 281 if you have any questions.
