All work shall be done in accordance with the Standard Specifications applicable to the project.
Minimum cover excluding pavement shall be / foot.
Fill heights greoler than mox/mum allowed in the Heights of Fi/1 Table on this sheet will
require special design of structure.
Pipe design is based on safety factor of 1.33 on ultimate strength.
The heights of fill over top of pipe are based on unit weighs of soil at 120 lbs. per cubic foot.
Pipe Class is delerm/ned from .0/ inch crack D- load
Bedding is Class B(Modified) with Settlement Ratio Rsd = 0,0 (Yielding Bed).
Changes in design factors will require compensating change in pipe design.

When a culvert is to he extended with pipe of different material, the connection shall conform
to the detail on plans or be approved.
NONREINFORCED CONCRETE P/PE
Nonremforced Concrete Pipe conforming to AASHO M-B6mo be used /rr lieuof Reinforced Concrete
Pipe shown hereon, provided it meets the same D-Loco'to produce the ultimate Lood under the three -edge
bearing method as specified for Reinforced Concrete Pipe /n accordance with AASHO M-170. Wall
thickness ofpipe may be increased as required to meet D-Load requirement.
All requirements for Reinforced Concrete Pipe, except !hose referring to reinforcement, shall
apply to Nonreinforced Concrete Pipe.
