ORDINANCE NO. 15, 1989
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
VACATING A PORTION OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY
OF SOUTH COLLEGE AVENUE IN THE
REPLAT OF BLOCK 2 AND LOTS 1 TO 7 INCLUSIVE OF
BLOCK 1 OF THE ST. VRAIN SUBDIVISION
AND RESERVING THE SAME FOR UTILITY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has received a
request from the owner of the St. Vrain Subdivision to vacate a portion of
the right-of-way of South College Avenue located in the Replat Of Block 2
and Lots 1 To 7 Inclusive Of Block 1 Of The St. Vrain Subdivision, more
particularly described on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated
herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, City agencies, the State Department of Highways, and utility
companies have been contacted and report no objection to the proposed
vacation and upon the condition that said right-of-way be reserved for
utility purposes only; and
WHEREAS, there will be no cost to the City in making the proposed
vacation and reservation; and
WHEREAS, the rights of the residents of the City of Fort Collins will
not be prejudiced or injured by the vacation of said street right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the street right-of-way of South College Avenue located on the
Replat Of Block 2 and Lots 1 To 7 Inclusive of Block I of The St. Vrain
Subdivision, more particularly described on Exhibit A, be, and the same
hereby is, vacated, abated and abolished, reserving, however, unto the City
the said area for utility easement purposes only.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered
published this 7th day of February, A.D. 1989, and to be�pr sented for
final passage on the 21st day of February, A.D. 1�. ��

DESCRIPTION OF THAT PORTION OF THE ACCESS-ROADWAY/FRONTAGE ROAD
TO BE VACATED
A tract of land located in the South Half of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 24, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the
Sixth Principal Meridian„ City of Fort Collins, Larimer County,
Colorado, being that certain tract of land as described in Bock
1876 at Page 0088 records of the Clerk and Recorder of the said
Larimer County, also being a portion of Tract One of the Replat
of Block 2 and Lots 1 to 7 Inclusive of Block One of the St.Vrain
Subdivision, a plat of record with the said Clerk and Recorder,
being more particularly described as follows:
Considering the West boundary of the said plat as bearing North
00007'00" East and with all bearings contained herein relative
thereto:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the said plat, being the
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of this description; thence along the
Southerly boundary of the said plat, South 68110100" East 8.07
feet; thence parallel with the said West boundary, North
00107'00" East 53.40 feet; thence South 89056100" West 7.50 feet
to the said West boundary; thence along the said West boundary,
South 00007100' West 50.39 feet to the point of beginning.
The above described tract contains 389 square feet and is
subject to all easements and rights -of -way now existing or of
record.
