To The Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Port Collins:
I hereby petition your Honorable Body to vacate a strip of land
lying along the south boundary of blocks 1B8 and 196 and along the
east boundary of blocks 197 and 19B. The last mentioned strip is not
open as a street and never has been, but it was so dedicated at the
time the plat was filed. It cuts my land in two and am satisfied that
you will be willing to give me title; to it so as to make ray land
intact. That on the south of the blocks was dedicated to the city as
a portion of a street. Since then I have given the county a road30
feet wide on the south side of the above mentioned quarter section
line and it is so fenced and used. This strip to which I now wish to
regain title is 3,I ft. wide and is, and for some time has been, inclu-
ded in my fields on the north side of the road as now i;sed.
The granting of' my�requost in no way effects the interests of
other property owners, as all the abutting property belongs to me;
neither does it effect the convenience of the public, for I have given
a road of ample width along the north side oC which is a row o' largo
shade trees making a natural boundary between 'the property and street.
