The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, on
Thursday, October 16, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers*, City Hall
West, 300 LaPorte Avenue, will hold a public hearing on a proposed project in
your neighborhood. The proposed project is referred to as the Eagle View
Natural Area First and Second Annexations and Zoning, #29-08 and #30-08.
This is a 100% voluntary request to annex approximately 86 acres known as the
Eagle View Natural Area and place the area into the POL — Public Open Lands
Zoning District. The Eagle View Natural Area is located south Kechter Road,
one -quarter mile west of 1-25, and north Fossil Creek Reservoir. The
annexations encompass an area slightly larger than the 86 acre natural area, or
a total of about 90.8 acres, due to the inclusion of adjacent County road rights -of -
way. The annexations are in conformance with the State of Colorado Revised
Statutes as they relate to annexations, the City of Fort Collins Comprehensive
Plan, the Larimer County and City of Fort Collins Intergovernmental Agreement,
the City of Fort Collins Land Use Code, and the Fossil Creek Reservoir Area
Plan. No development is associated with this annexation proposal.
Both the Planning and Zoning Board and the City Planning Staff consider your
interest and input in this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an important
part of the City's review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend the public
hearing, but would like to provide input, written comments are welcome.
The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official
records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between
occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected
property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor
of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
Sincerely,
 /1a_4
