The proposed annexation is known as the Gateway Annexation and Zoning, #35-08. This is a 10001% voluntary request to annex approximately 256.3 acres and includes portions of the Arapaho Bend Natural Area and the I-25 highway for about 3/ of a mile north of Harmony Road and about 1 mile south of Harmony Road. The proposed zoning for the area is the POL - Public Open Lands District. The Arapaho Bend Natural Area is located north Harmony Road and west of 1-25. The annexation is in conformance with the State of Colorado Revised Statutes as they relate to annexations, the City of Fort Collins Comprehensive Plan, the Larimer County and City of Fort Collins Intergovernmental Agreement, the City of Fort Collins Land Use Code, and the Harmony Corridor Plan. No development is associated with this annexation proposal. Both the Planning and Zoning Board and the City Planning Staff consider your interest and input in this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an important part of the City's review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, but would like to provide input, written comments are welcome. The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
