The wash basins contain a secondary containment structure to prevent releases to the environment. Solvents at this facility will not exceed 250 gallons. 4. Body Shop: This facility will contain a body shop, adding a new dimension that is different from the existing facility. This will require the following permits: a. Air Pollution Emissions Notice: This air pollution permit will be issued by the State of Colorado and reviewed by the Larimer County Health Department. We do not anticipate any problems in obtaining this permit. b. The painting operation will require used solvent disposal. Therefore, a hazardous waste generator identification number will be required for this particular site. C. We will develop, as part of the overall plan, an SPCC for this facility and for the oil/solvent storage area. This will prevent any solvents from entering into the environment. Paint and solvents at this facility will not exceed 750 gallons. 5. Fuel Storage: Pedersen will be utilizing a 500 gallon Convault for distribution at the facility. The Convault will be UL Listed and approved by Poudre Fire Authority and meet all of the requirements under the UFC. Based on the above information, we believe all requirements stated by the Environmental Protection Agency, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and the Uniform Fire Code, 1997 edition, will be met. If you have any questions on the above information, please contact us. Sincerely, STEWART ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS, INC. David R. (Stewart Environmental) is pleased to provide the hazardous materials impact analysis for the Pedersen Auto Plaza. We have reviewed the preliminary plans, as well as the proposed areas that might contain hazardous materials. We have also discussed how these hazardous materials impact will be contained to minimize any effect on the environment or human health. This information is presented by building section. Floor Drains: The floor in the repair shop is a potential pathway for solvents and/or oils entering the sewer system, which has been mitigated by the following: a. Installation of oil/water separator upgradient of the connection to the sewer system. b. Each floor will drain to a common trench system. This trench will have a "dam" at its end upgradient of the discharge to the oil/water separator. This trench will be cleaned on a regular basis to prevent accumulation of potentially hazardous materials. 2. Oil/Solvent Storage: Oil and solvents used on site, both new and used, will be stored in an approved hazardous materials cabinet located within the work space in a specially designed storage room to meet 40 CFR 412 regulations for Spill Prevention and Countermeasures Control plans. Storage at this facility will not exceed 500 gallons. 3. Solvent Usage: Solvent usage will be limited within the floor area to Safety Clean washers, which use 35 gallon containers and are changed periodically by
