How do you recommend I deliver this information to the City Manager's office? The "service center" that Verna Bodig is referring to is known as the Collinwood North, Major Amendment (file #24-07) that is currently in the Citys development review process. The request is for Personal & Business Service Shops located at the southwest corner of South Lemay Avenue and Rule Drive. There will be a total of 28,032 square feet of leasable floor area in two 1-story buildings fronting on South Lemay Avenue and Rule Drive. Access will be from Rule Drive and South Lemay Avenue (a shared access with the existing Collinwood Assisted Living Community). There will be a total of 110 parking spaces on -site, almost all of the parking being located behind the buildings and away from the streets. Personal & business service shops are defined in the City's Land Use Code as: Shops primarily engaged in providing services generally involving the care of the person or such person's apparel or rendering services to business establishments such as laundry or dry-cleaning retail outlets, portrait/photographic studios, beauty or barber shops, employment service, or mailing or copy shops. The Collinwood North, Major Amendment is amending a portion of the Collinwood Planned Unit Development (PUD) that was approved in November, 1992. Four of the six buildings in that PUD have been constructed. The Major Amendment is for the northeast portion of the PUD, adjacent to South Lemay Avenue and Rule Drive, which was approved for 30,000 square feet of future medical office uses in two buildings (not yet constructed) and associated parking. A neighborhood information meeting was held for this request on July 12, 2007, at the Evangelical Covenant Church at 4825 South Lemay Avenue. A total of 388 letters of notification of the meeting were sent on June 27, 2007, to Affected Property Owners within 800 feet of the project site; and, there were about 21 interested parties (neighbors, citizens) in attendance, along with the Applicants/Developers and the City's project planner. The Collinwood North, Major Amendment is on the Planning & Zoning Board's agenda for their regularly scheduled public hearing on September 20, 2007.
